GW Plastics has announced the completion of a major expansion of its Dongguan, China, facilities. The project more than doubled the size of the plant, and the new 125,000-square-foot facility will allow the company to streamline its tooling, molding and medical device assembly operations while leaving room for contract manufacturing growth, the company said in a news release. GW Plastics plans to enhance its Asia manufacturing capabilities with liquid silicone rubber injection molding as well as product development support. The Bethel-based precision injection molding company also announced that it has broken ground on an expansion of its Royalton facilities. The 21,000-square-foot project will allow for the growth of its thermoplastic and liquid silicone rubber injection molding and medical device contract assembly business, in addition to 30 new injection molding machines, an enlarged cleanroom and an expansion of the company’s training center. The project is expected to be completed this spring.
David Livesley and Dora Foschi, owners of The Woodstocker Inn Bed & Breakfast, have been named runners-up for the 2015 B&B Marketer of the Year award by BedandBreakfast.com. The award recognizes bed-and-breakfast owners “who excel at developing and implementing successful marketing programs,” the inn said in a news release. Livesley and Foschi moved from the United Kingdom to the United States to purchase The Woodstocker Inn in 2005. They renovated the country-style property and made an effort to attract more international travelers by working with a U.K.-based tour company. Judging was based on tangible and significant business results, clearly defined marketing objectives and target audiences, a multifaceted marketing program, and creativity.
Cioffredi & Associates, the physical therapy and rehabilitation practice on Etna Road in Lebanon, has received an honorable mention award in the 2015 Practice of the Year Contest sponsored by Advance for Physical Therapy & Rehab Medicine magazine. The contest recognizes practices “that stand out from their peers in customer satisfaction, clinical expertise, staff development and promotion of the rehab profession,” the company said in a news release. Contest applicants are judged in a blind review by physical therapy practice owners who have won the award in years past. Woodstock-area real estate broker Snyder Donegan Real Estate Group has opened a Hanover branch at 23 S. Main St. and brought aboard Zoe Hathorn-Washburn to run the office. Hathorn-Washburn previously worked in sales and marketing for several pharmaceutical companies. Snyder Donegan, which opened its office in 2010 and is operated by John Snyder and David Donegan, specializes in high-end homes and estates. The agency doubled sales to $30 million in 2015 and represents more than $50 million in properties in the Upper Valley, according to the firm’s website.
RSG, the White River Junction-based transportation and environmental planning and analysis firm, has added an office in Portland, Ore. The new space will enable RSG to serve its growing national client base and strengthen its relationships with agencies and organizations in the Pacific Northwest, the company said in a news release. “The establishment of our Portland office is an exciting step forward in our strategy to develop and provide advanced methods across the country within the transportation, environment, and market research sectors,” the company’s CEO, Stephen Lawe, said in the release. In addition to its White River Junction headquarters and the new Portland office, employee-owned RSG has locations in Burlington; Arlington, Va.; Evansville, Ind.; Chicago; St. Augustine, Fla.; Salt Lake City; and San Diego.
